On September 13-18, the 9th International Conference on “Architecture and Construction – Modern Problems” took place. After Jermuk, Beijing, Czestochowa, St. Petersburg, Ostrava, Florence and Yerevan, the assembly of the field expert community was in Batumi.
A delegation of 15 members of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, led by Rector Gagik Galstyan, participated in the 9th International Conference “Architecture and Construction – Modern Problems” at Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi.
It should be noted, that the 8th International Conference on “Architecture and Construction – Modern Problems” was held at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia in the framework of the University’s 95th anniversary events on 26 October 2016.
The conference series are organized by the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, the University of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Beijing, the Czestochowa University of Technology, the University of Architecture and Construction of Saint-Petersburg, the Technical University of Ostrava, the Czech University, the University of Florence.
A hundred and one scientific reports from 16 countries were presented at the conference, including 32 from our University. It is worth to mention the praiseworthy words of the conference participants concerning the reports of young researchers and graduate students of our University, which is a reason for pride and accomlishment not only for them but also for our University.
During the working days of the conference, except for discussions on engineering, construction, ecology, hydrology, transportation problems, our University delegation had a large circle of important meetings with the President the University of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Beijing, the professors of the Technical University of Czestochowa, the faculty members from the Technical University of Ostrava, University of Architecture and Construction of Kiev, the Vice-Rector the University of Architecture and Construction of St. Petersburg, the Rector of Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi, the Rector of Odessa Academy of Architecture and Construction, and the representative of “John Holland Group” of Australia.
The conference ended with closing speeches and, on the proposal of the NUACA Rector Gagik Galstyan it was decided to organize the 10th International Conference on “Architecture and Construction – Modern Problems” in Beijing.
