NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

For the first time, the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia organized an internal grant competition to encourage research work and ensure student participation in its implementation. The organization of the competition, the discussion of proposals and summary of the competition results was carried out by a 7-member commission formed by the order of the Rector of the University, headed by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs.

The results of the competition were summed up on April 9, the 4 winning topics are known:

1. “Development and Testing of Instrument Monitoring Complex of the Superstructure of the Bridges” (Supervisor: Artashes Sargsyan, 2 students),

2. “Modernization of Pre-Estimate Normative Information Database of Construction Machines, Mechanisms, Tools and Equipment”(Supervisor: Armine Ghulyan, 2 students),

3. “Development of the Methodology of Experimental Research Aimed at Increasing the Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Buildings” (Supervisor: Siranush Egnatosyan, 3 students),

4. “Design and Creation of a Laser Deformometer” (Supervisor: Hovsep Petrosyan, 4 students).

The winners will soon receive their certificates. The grant for each topic is two million AMD. It is noteworthy that the groups of winners of all the topics of the competition include students, which is a great opportunity to gain experience of conducting scientific research work under the supervision of an experienced specialist.
