NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Today, our foreign students and academic staff got acquainted with each other at the University. This year, seven citizens from Syria, Lebanon and Iran applied for our University preparatory group, the classes of which are conducted in Armenian, while ten citizens from Syria, Lebanon, India and Egypt applied for the one in English.
During the meeting, the uniqueness and usefulness of the subjects taught in the groups were highlighted for continuing the study in the chosen specialty. It was especially mentioned that in the future the abilities and skills of a specialist should be the coordinating supervisor of the field rather than the tool.
The timetable of the first semester examinations and additional pre-examination consultations were introduced at the meeting, at the same time concerns were raised about students’ being absent and having language barriers.
However, such obstacles can be overcome, as far as they live and study in their Homeland. Hovik from Lebanon is a future builder, who is sure that he will definitely have his own contribution to strengthening and making our Homeland prosperous.
Bamsala and Valery, who could not find a better place than Armenia and our University to study Architecture, join the conversation immediately. They came, convinced that they would get quality education. Students from India, standing a bit far from us, were listening to us with interest in their eyes and hidden smiles on their faces as if thinking “we cannot talk this time, but next time we will definitely join”.
