NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
From May 25 to June 2 the NUACA acting head of the Chair of the Theory of Architecture, Restoration of Historical and Architectural Heritage, Fine Arts and History, associate professor Emma Harutyunyan was in Germany’s Regensburg University of Applied Sciences.
The working visit to Germany was certainly promising. Ms. Harutyunyan was a jury member of the international Yakobus student competition, she also delivered lectures and attended several meetings. Contest participants from Germany, Spain and France presented 28 works and authors of the best works were awarded certificates and books.
In the framework of the “Architecture History” discipline Ms. Harutyunyan delivered lectures on “The Development of the Armenian Medieval Architecture” and “Soviet Modernism in Armenia” for the Regensburg University’s 2nd and 4th year bachelor degree students.
During her visit she met and conferred with the University of Regensburg’s Vice President on Internationalization Affairs, person in charge of the International Relations Department and a number of faculty representatives. The meetings were productive, resulting in the scheduled visit of Dimitris Diamantisi from the Department of Civil Engineering to our University in October for delivering lectures in English language.
