NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Since January 2014 the National University of Architecture and Construction (NUACA) together with other partner universities/institutions carries out the GOVERN Tempus project funded by the European Commission. The project aims to capacity building for top and middle level administration to enable Bologna action lines implementation, adaptation of the management system to the new approaches in the strategic and structural management, budget allocation, human resource management, implementation of indicators and criteria for academic programme and student mobility, new approaches to managing academic programmes and offices of academic affairs.

The external assessment visit to NUACA has been done by the group of experts within the GOVERN Tempus project on March 30-31, 2017. The group of experts included the representatives of Bath Spa University (UK) (Dana Ruggiero), ASIIN (Germany) (Jana Möhren), ANQA (Republic of Armenia) (Ani Mkrtchyan), American University of Armenia (Irshat Mdyarov), State University of Armenia (Lara Alaverdyan).

Rector NUACA Mr. Gagik Galstyan welcomed the group of experts and expressed his pleasure to see an external view on the university activity.  Numerous meetings have been conducted during the external assessment visit, particularly with the NUACA leadership (Rector G.Galstyan, Vice rectors: A.Barkhudaryan, Y.Safaryan, V.Yedoyan, L.Levonyan), GOVERN project team, Quality Assurance management, administration, academic program management, teaching staff, and students. Many questions of experts have been answered comprehensively by the NUACA parties. The experts thanked the leadership of NUACA, particularly Rector Mr. Galstyan to provide such opportunity for transparent discussions with the NUACA staff.
