NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Today Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia, Inga Stanyte-Toločkiene and the 2nd Secretary of the Embassy, Jomantas Pabiržis have arrived at NUACA. This business trip was intended to evaluate the cooperation as well as the implemented projects between our university and Lithuania as well as to discuss future more ambitious projects.
The Acting Rector, Yeghiazar Vardanyan and the leadership staff of NUACA hosted The Embassy representatives who greeted each other and expressed gratitude for the successful cooperation. Mrs. Inga Stanyte-Toločkiene considered appropriate to emphasize the award ceremony of Jurgis Baltrušaitis as a guarantee of the established cultural connection between two countries. She suggested announcing earlier the start date of the award ceremony this year to involve a large number of participants.
The Acting Rector, Yeghiazar Vardanyan, by presenting close relations between our University and international reputable universities, exemplified the cooperation agreement signed in May 2019 with The Polytechnic University of Milan as well as Vilnius College of Technologies and Design. The agreement was signed in the framework of EU’s mobility program ERASMUS+, according to which exchange of experiences between students and scholars as well as master classes implemented.
The meeting attendees made various suggestions for making the cooperation more flexible and effective. Mr. Vardanyan noted that our University is a member of Construction Consortium Companies. Further, he mentioned that the road construction in Armenia will activate started from this year and he hoped that the large construction companies of Baltic Countries will be involved in that project with the support of the Embassy. In the suggestion list was the fulfillment of master’s degree programs with dual diplomas in the fields of architecture, construction, and design. This will be beneficial for students for developing their professional skills, but also in terms of the recognition of dual diplomas in both countries.
