Armine Kerobyan, Anna Ivanyan, Astghik Mashinyan, Vruyr Yenokyan and Lernik Galstyan, 2nd year MA students of Architecture Faculty, have started working on “The concept of architectural and planning integration of archeological sites in the layout of Yerevan” projects 1 year ago. All of them have one goal – to win the Lithuanian historian, artist Jurgis Baltrushaitis award.
For the third year in a row, the “Petros Aloyan” Foundation, in collaboration with the Lithuanian Embassy in Armenia and the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, has been conducting a competition to identify and award the best student in the “Preservation and Restoration of Historical-Architectural Heritage” nomination.
Today, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to RA Inga Stanite-Tolochkienie, NUACA Rector Gagik Galstyan, President of the RA Chamber of Architects Mkrtich Minasyan, Director of the “Petros Aloyan” Foundation Hayk Aloyan, Head of the Chair of theory of architecture, restoration and reconstruction of historical-architectural heritage, fine arts and history, Professor Emma Harutyunyan, Dean of the Architecture Faculty Sargis Tovmasyan and lecturers were present at the presentation of student projects submitted to the competition.
By the decision of the committee, Lernik Galstyan was recognized the winner of the Baltrushaitis Award, who was awarded a certificate and cash reward.
