NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Moscow. This is the geography of the “One Belt and One Road” consortium of Architectural and Construction Universities. For the third time, the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, as a founding member, represented by Rector Gagik Galstyan and Vice-Rector of IT and Financial Affairs Marina Ghazaryan, participate in the consortium activities and the Rector’s Forum.
It should be noted that the “One Belt and One Way” Consortium has been formed in keeping with the ideology of the Silk Road “Peace and Partnership, Publicity and Inclusiveness, Mutual Learning and Mutual Benefits” and has aim to create a collaborative platform and discover innovative development mechanisms with architectural subjects and universities.
This time the meeting was at the Moscow State Research University of Civil Engineering .On October 10-11, the rectors and representatives of the Architectural and Construction Universities of Armenia, Russia, China, Bulgaria, Serbia, Uzbekistan, France summarized the works carried out during the past year and discussed the future plans.
Like the previous consortiums, this year too, our university delegation came up with a broad and promising package of proposals. In particular, it was suggested to clarify administrative communication, create an electronic app to keep member universities constantly in the news and keep in touch with each other, to expand the geography of the “Contemporary problems of Architecture and Construction ” conference and, most importantly, develop a tripartite master’s program and joint diploma between the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture and Moscow State Research University of Civil Engineering.
The proposals were approved by the partner universities; with a firm and friendly handshake, an agreement was reached to discuss and proceed with the above ambitious proposals.
The work of the consortium was summarized by a flag transfer. In 2020 the “One Belt and One Road” consortium of Architectural and Construction Universities will be held in France.
