2nd, 3rd and 4th year students of the Department of Service and Tourism of the Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, accompanied by Associate Professor of the Chair of Environmental Management, Tourism and Service, PhD in Biological Sciences Mariam Avagyan, visited the Ministry of Environment of the RA.
In the framework of the visit, a meeting was held with employees of the Department of Specially Protected Natural Areas and Biodiversity Policy. During the meeting, a number of current issues in the environmental field were discussed, in particular, the problems of the Vordan Karmir Reserve and possible ways to solve them.
The international environmental agenda was also touched upon, in particular, the possible formats of student involvement in the COP17 conference, as well as other important initiatives related to the field and prospects for cooperation.
The visit was an important professional experience for the students, contributing to the deepening of the practical application of theoretical knowledge and a better understanding of modern approaches in the field of environmental policy.
