The International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Current State, Problems and Development Prospects of International Roads” was held at NUACA. The event was organized at the initiative of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders of the CIS Member States with the support of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia.
During the plenary session, the Chairman of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders of the CIS Member States B. Karimov delivered a welcome speech. The welcome speech of NUACA Rector Manuk Barseghyan was presented by the Head of the International Cooperation Department of the University Elena Grigoryan.
The conference was attended by heads of RA MTAD subdivisions, representatives of Yerevan Municipality, heads of major road construction organizations operating in Armenia and CIS countries, representatives of state research institutes and laboratories, scientists and other specialists in the field.
Within the framework of the event, reports were presented on the design, construction and operation of surface and underground road networks, the use of asphalt concrete mixtures in road surfaces. The results of the latest research conducted in the field of road construction, the current state of the CIS interstate road network and upcoming development programs were also discussed.
At the end of the Conference, participants were awarded certificates of participation, summing up this important event filled with professional discussions and new opportunities for cooperation.
