NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Recently, a regular session of the Scientific Council was held at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. During the session, the elections of the Heads of a number of University Chairs were discussed.

The candidates presented their development plans for the next five years to the members of the Scientific Council, referring to the improvement of the academic process, the activation of scientific research activities and the expansion of sectoral cooperation. After discussions and voting, the election results were summarized.

As a result:

• Head of the Chair of Theory, History and Heritage of Architecture was elected PhD in Architecture, Professor Emma Harutyunyan,
• Head of the Chair of Architectural Design and Design of Architectural Environment was elected Doctor of Architecture, Professor Karen Azatyan,
• Head of the Chair of Urban Planning was elected PhD in Architecture, Professor Zara Mamyan,
• Head of the Chair of Design was elected PhD in Arts, Associate Professor Ani Acharyan.

It should be added that the aforementioned candidates previously held the position of Acting Head of the relevant Chairs.
