Recently, a video-practical course on “Universal Design, Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodations” was held at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, at the initiative of the Faculty of Design, aimed at deepening the professional and social responsibility of future specialists.
Within the framework of the Course, students met with representatives of the “Full Life” NGO. Speakers Suren Maghakyan and Narek Minasyan presented the fundamental principles of universal design, types of reasonable accommodations and assistive devices, practical possibilities and significance of their application in projects.
During the discussions, it was emphasized that modern environments should be designed in accordance with the principles of universal design, ensuring equal and full participation for all.
At the end of the Course, participating students were awarded with certificates of participation.
