NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation, National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and the Armenian representation of the Project Management Institute (PMI) initiated a series of two-day seminars in the spring of 2025 aimed at the professional development of NUACA students and specialists in the field.

The Seminars entitled “Donor-Funded Infrastructure Projects and Construction Management” aimed at expanding the knowledge of the participants, emphasizing approaches of modern construction project management and features of infrastructure projects implemented with the involvement of donor organizations.

The Seminars were conducted by leading specialists in the field such as President at PMI Armenia and Project Management Professional Astghik Sahakyan, Vice-President at PMI Armenia and Project Management Professional in Civil Construction Yervand Hovhannisyan, as well as an experienced specialist in legal support for large-scale infrastructure projects Mariam Badeyan.

During the Seminars, the structure of projects funded by donor organizations, contract models, project implementation schedule and risk management tools, the features of FIDIC contracts, as well as best practical examples were presented.

All participants will soon be awarded with certificates to mark this important step in their professional development, and in order to strengthen student engagement, a raffle will be held, as a result of which 30 students will get the opportunity to receive annual PMI membership, with the support of “Azurit” LLC and “VGM Projects” LLC. The raffle will also lay the foundation for the establishment of the PMI Armenia Student Club.
