EXTRACURRICULAR LESSON IN GEORGIA

The first-year students of the “Service” specialty of the Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology went to Tbilisi. The students were accompanied by Lecturer at NUACA Chair of Geoecology and Biosafety, PhD in Philology and Associate Professor Zaruhi Hayryan. The aim of the visit was to apply the theoretical knowledge gained at the University in practice, to get acquainted with the museums and sites of the cultural city, as well as with the local historical and cultural heritage. The students visited Armenian churches, and the Armenian pantheon, where they saw the gravestones of Armenian intellectuals. They also visited several hotels, where they got acquainted with the service, main and additional services, after which they compared the tourist resources of Armenia with Georgia and made a tour package.

The visit was highly appreciated by both the students and the lecturer accompanying them as an effective and meaningful initiative that not only promoted the development of the students’ professional skills, but also contributed to their understanding of world cultural heritage and deepening of intercultural ties.
