NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The Urban Development Committee and the Union of Builders of Armenia have jointly organized an event dedicated to the Construction Worker’s Day. Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Yeghiazar Vardanyan, Chairman of the Union of Builders of Armenia Gagik Galstyan and representatives of the field of construction were present at the Event.

On the occasion of the professional holiday, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan congratulated the constructors, wishing them fruitful work. Deputy Prime Minister noted: “With its current programme of activities, the Government has undertaken the obligation to implement urban development programmes of an unprecedented scale throughout the territory of the Republic, building several hundred schools and pre-school institutions, health, sports and cultural facilities, roads with thousands of kilometers, as well as implementing other complex and large-scale infrastructural programmes. The implementation of the Government’s plan on time and efficiently mostly depends on the capabilities of construction organizations, quality and compassionate work, investments in development, and of course, the effectiveness of public-private partnership. I would like to extend my gratitude to all those constructors who conscientiously implement state programmes, sharing the realization that we are building for a quality future for us and our generations.”

Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Yeghiazar Vardanyan congratulated  the constructors and extended his gratitude to them, noting that the construction field continues to be one of the most important branches of the economy. Highly appreciating construction traditions, the Chairman of the Committee attached importance to the professional development as well. He emphasized the importance of restoring the reputation of the Armenian constructors and trust in them with joint efforts.

On the occasion of Construction Worker’s Day, the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee awarded a group of constructors who have carried out significant activities in the field of construction with the “For Significant Contribution in the Field of Urban Development” gold medal and a certificate of appreciation from the Urban Development Committee.

Acting Head of the Chair of Roads and Bridges of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia Artashes Sargsyan was also awarded with the “For Significant Contribution in the Field of Urban Development” gold medal.
