EXTRACURRICULAR LESSON IN TSAGHKADZOR

The 2nd year students of U-15 group of NUACA “Service” specialty, accompanied by PhD in Philology, lecturer Zaruhi Hayryan, had an extracurricular lesson in Tsaghkadzor. The aim of the lesson was to study hotel enterprises in the tourist town. During their visit, the students toured around a number of hotels. Hotel managers presented their hotels’ activities and pricing policy, the way they carry out advertising and PR, introduced all hotel sections, rooms and, of course, services. Through various questions, the students found out the nuances of managing hotel enterprises, and at the end, they carried out a SWOT analysis. As a result of the discussions, they mentioned the positive and negative aspects, risks and challenges, as well as the new opportunities of the hotels. While walking around the City, the students carried out general analytical work to find out whether Tsaghkadzor meets the current international tourism standards or not.

In addition to the students’ theoretical knowledge, the University also attaches importance to extracurricular activities, which contributes to gaining practical skills and professional experience.
