NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The constitutive meeting of the Union in accordance with the “Regulation of Young Researchers’ Union” took place at NUACA. During the meeting, the Regulation of the Union was presented, the annual Action Plan of the Union was approved, as well as the election of the Head of the Union was held. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Manuk Barseghyan. “The idea has been discussed a lot in recent years, and as a result of many discussions, today we have a project with such content and clear order, the purpose of which is to create an appropriate environment for the youth to participate in research activities,” mentioned Mr. Barseghyan in his speech. He also noted: “The Project gives us the opportunity to focus our efforts in one direction and work jointly. This allows us to not only bring together our faculties but also reach out to other young scientists beyond the University, and why not, to our experienced colleagues, not young scientists, whose potential will help us in this context. Another crucial goal of the Project is to create a platform for the University to actively engage with international scientific activities.”

The meeting was also attended by researchers under the age of 35, PhD students and applicants, as well as around 26 lecturers and students interested in research activities, through whom the open voting took place. Lecturer of the Chair of Theory, History and Heritage of Architecture Lilit Babayan was elected the Head of the Union with 26 votes, and a PhD student of the Faculty of Construction Khachatur Khachatryan was elected as the Chairman of the Committee on Counting with 26 votes.
