NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Recently, at the invitation of the Isfahan Branch of the Islamic Azad University of Iran, lecturer of the Chair of Architectural Design and Design of Architectural Environment of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, architect Armen Minassian conducted an online lecture on the topic “The Transformation of Contemporary Iranian Architecture and the Pivotal Role of Armenian Architects.”

During the lecture, architect Minassian presented the global significance of Armenian Architecture, as well as the influential role of Armenians in Iran during the modernization of the country, detailing their vital impact in the field of Architecture.

Mr. Minassian mainly presented the works of architects Alexander Tamanyan (during his stay in Tabriz in 1921-23), Gabriel Guevrekian, Vardan Hovhannisyan, Paul Abgar, Margar Galstyan, Zhanya Aftandilian, Kerstapor Tadvosian, Rostom Voskanian and Nektar Papazian-Adreev.

A large number of Iranian and Armenian lecturers and students participated in the online lecture.
