University with a 100-Year History
A series of events entitled “At the Crossroads of the Arts” took place at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.
On April 12, the exhibition of paintings dedicated to the artists of the Bilingual Drama Studio was held.
The author of the exhibition is a student of NUACA Faculty of Design Nonna Hovhannisyan. According to her, the exhibition was the beginning of a new experience and a new history of line for her, which was successful in her opinion.
The exhibition was attended by NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan, the Founder of the Bilingual Drama Studio Serzh Avetikyan, the Representative of the International Organisation of the Francophonie David Bongard, the Attaché for Cultural and Cooperation Affairs of the Embassy of France Guillaume Narjollet, the Director of the French Institute David Tursz, the Cultural Representative of the French Institute Alexandre Clouzot, University employees, students, and other honoured guests.
In his welcoming speech, NUACA Rector attached importance to the student’s energy and the contagiousness of her art, adding that this could be an incentive for many students to implement such programs in the future.
The next day the spatial performance “In Anticipation of Happy Days” started. The staging was carried out based on the plays of Samuel Beckett, with the participation of the artists of the 2nd edition of the Studio and directed by Michel Bernard, a guest director from Belgium.
The staging was attended by the Ambassador of France to Armenia Anne Louyot, NUACA Rector and the aforementioned honoured guests. The staging was also successful, which was confirmed by the audience with their applause and words of appreciation.
At the end of the events the Founder of the Bilingual Drama Studio Serzh Avetikyan summed up the Season 2 of the Studio and all artists were handed over certificates of participation.
