NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

From October 20, 2022 to December 14, 2022, the 2nd phase of the training program for Geospatial Data Management (GIS) specialists was implemented at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA).

In order to facilitate the exchange of data between the Cadastre Committee and other public administration bodies and to increase their reliability, it is expedient that these bodies do not receive the necessary cartographic and other data through correspondence or download them online, but work directly with the same Geoinformation System (GIS), having appropriate access to different types of spatial data. For this very purpose, the 2nd phase of the training courses for the technical staff of the institutions included in the system was held, as a result of which the participants acquired practical and theoretical knowledge, as well as guidelines were provided.

The training course included topics related to GIS programming, analysis, modeling, as well as aerospace photo processing, analysis, and photogrammetry.

At the end of the program, NUACA Chief of the Staff Hovsep Hoveyan handed over certificates to the participants, emphasizing that the University attaches great importance to the cooperation of state administration bodies and the academic environment, because this is where the ways to solve real problems are born. Such collaborations definitely yield positive results.
