NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

NUACA inter-faculty chess tournament took place, which was organized by Lilit Galoyan and Varsenik Gharslyan, Chess lecturers at the Chair of Physical Education and Sports. Mary Tadevosyan (U 24) took the first place in the competition for girls and boys, Khachik Kirakosyan (C15) took the second place, Vardan Bdoyan (A 21-2) took the third place, Avetis Kasmiyan took the fourth place, and Andranik Hovakimyan took the fifth place. Three participants were competing for the third place: Vardan Bdoyan, Avetis Kasmiyan, Andranik Hovakimyan, and V. Bdoyan won the extra competition.

The girls recorded the following results: the first place was taken by Mary Tadevosyan (U 24), the second place – by Svetlana Arakelyan, and the third place – by Serine Margaryan (M 22-2). Levon Martirosyan (A 11-2) took the first place among non-class chess amateurs.

            “This time there were many people who wanted to participate in the tournament, which is more gratifying and binding, so that the tournaments will be organized regularly and in the near future we will be able to perform properly on the inter-university platforms,” noted Lilit Galoyan, international female grandmaster and lecturer at the Chair.
