NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The Head of NUACA Russian Language Center Karina Hovhannisyan paid a visit to North-Caucasus Federal University in Stavropol, Russia. During the visit, she participated in the training program of lecturers entitled “Russian as a Foreign Language: Topical Aspects of Teaching Methods” («Русский язык как иностранный: актуальные аспекты методики преподавания»), as well as in the works of the scientific conference held there.

            During the conference, Mrs. Hovhannisyan presented a report on the topic “Russian Language in the Educational Space of the Republic of Armenia” («Русский язык в образовательном пространстве Республики Армения»), touching upon the current situation in the field of linguistics in the RA higher education institutions, particularly, in NUACA. A detailed reference was made to the activities of NUACA Russian Language Center, the development prospects, the modern methodology of teaching the Russian language and the technologies used in the Center.

            During the business trip, a visit was paid to the library of North-Caucasus Federal University, an opportunity was provided to ensure access to the electronic library repository and our Russian partners donated modern professional literature related to the construction sphere to the Russian Language Center of our University. 

            During the visit, the following agreements were reached: to continue the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two universities, to carry out exchange programs in construction specialties, and to conduct professional training courses for the lecturers of the Russian language.
