NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

According to the Memorandum signed between the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and IRD Engineering (Italy), the Civil Engineering Summer School is being held for the second year already.

The participants of the Summer School will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the procedures defined by the international road construction programs and acquire applied knowledge. The courses to be implemented within the framework of the Summer School are held in hybrid format: it includes both face-to-face and online lectures, as well as practices at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia and the construction site.

The participants were welcomed by NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan, noting that Civil Engineering Summer School is a great opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge and gain new skills, which can have a pivotal role in professional accomplishment.

Welcoming the participants of the Summer School, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, Christine Ghalechyan presented the process of state management in the road sector, current programs and ways of development. While Alvaro Diez Santaclara, the Deputy General Manager of “IRD Engineering” company, and Fabio Buonomo, Chief Operating Director, welcoming the participants of the Summer School, attached importance to the relevance of the initiative and presented the types of contracts of programs financed by international financial institutions, and the key provisions within the scope of rendering consulting services.

The Manager of the Armenian Branch of “IRD Engineering” company Tigran Mesropyan noted that the participants of the School will have the opportunity to get acquainted with international programs in the field of road construction, to meet with international and local highly qualified experts, to gain applied knowledge and experience in the field of technical supervision of construction works, design implementation and international management procedures.
