NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The conference of PhD students and applicants of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia was held in Aghveran on May 12 and 13.

The PhD students presented the progress of the work conducted, after which an exchange of opinions took place.

1. Gevorgyan, Head of the Department of Postgraduate Education and Scientific Information delivered a report on “General Description of Scientometrics”. An interesting teamwork followed the event, and afterwards the Head of the Science Department S. Tovmasyan presented the task of teamwork, mixed professional teams were formed, and for each team two scientific advisors were appointed. An evaluation commission was formed to assess the work conducted.

The teams proposed an applied or dual-purpose scientific topic, presenting its rationale, topicality, aim and objectives, methods, scientific novelty, and practical significance.The commission evaluated the work and announced the winning team.

Barseghyan, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, extending his gratitude to everyone for their participation and to NUACA Rector Mr. Vardanyan for the support, emphasized: “One of the main goals of the conference was to be able to present your analysis, to reflect the real picture, and finally to be able to identify our needs, our drawbacks, to be able to take the right direction and move forward.” Mr. Barseghyan urged young specialists not to limit themselves only to participation in conferences, but also to focus on scientific-research activities, such as articles that are peer-reviewed and indexed by international databases.
