Within the framework of the event “Improvement of the Non-Financial Remuneration System in the State Sector” defined by the Public Administration Reform Strategy, the procedures for registering interns in state bodies have been established by Decision No. 439-N “On Defining the Procedure for Registering Interns and the Specifics of Their Participation in Work,” defines the mechanisms for involving interns in state bodies, which enable students studying in the final-year students and graduates who have graduated from higher education institutions with high academic performance to be involved in the state administration system.
According to the above regulations, in case of registering as an intern, students can practically get acquainted with the public service and civil service systems, the basic rights and obligations of a public servant, obtain practical skills, deepen professional knowledge, acquire public service experience in case of applying for a civil service position, etc.
There are currently 3 mechanisms in place for registering interns:
To be included in the list of interns, citizens who have scored at least 30 points or graduated from a higher education institution high academic performance apply through the cso.gov.am website, and students of work-based academic programmes are registered based on the application of the relevant bodies, with working hours consistent with the educational process.
The term of inclusion in the list of interns is 2 years, and the maximum term of registration as an intern in the relevant body is 1 year, with a possible extension by mutual agreement up to the maximum limit.
