TRAINING WEBINARS TO GET ACQUAINTED WITH “ScienceDirect” AND “SCOPUS” DATABASES

Within the framework of the project being implemented by the Science Committee of RA ESCS Ministry, NUACA received free trial access to the “ScienceDirect” and “Scopus” databases of the “Elsevier” company until June 30, 2021.

ScienceDirect contains full texts of articles and books from leading scientific journals published by “Elsevier”. ScienceDirect’s multidisciplinary platform covers literature in all areas of science, providing access to more than 18 million editions of 2,500 Elsevier scientific journals and more than 37,000 books, as well as a huge number of journals published by prestigious scientific communities.

Access includes availability of publications of journals of the current year, as well as publications from the previous four years. Scopus is the largest united database of controlled data, which contains information on abstracts and citations of peer-reviewed scientific literature with built-in tools for data tracking, analysis and reflection. The database includes 25,000 publications from 7,000 international publishers in the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, technology, medicine and arts. The quality of Scopus data has been recognized by the leading universities and research organizations, which use this database to evaluate scientific research work, as well as THE, QS World University Rankings, Financial Times and other rating agencies to compile QS World University Rankings.

Accessibility is provided through the organization’s IP addresses, with the possibility of remote access control.

Elsevier has prepared several training webinars for scientific workers, librarians, lecturers, postgraduate students and students (webinars are in Russian). You can get acquainted with the agenda of the Webinars below:
