PRESENTATION OF “SHUSHI: AMEN!” DOCUMENTARY  

The presentation of “Shushi: Amen!” documentary will be held in the big hall of the Cinema House (address: 18 Vardanants St., Yerevan, entrance from Khanjyan St.) on May 30, at 7:00 p.m.. This documentary is one the films from the series dedicated to Artsakh, which presents the whole historical and cultural heritage of Artsakh, based on the archival materials and documentary data, in particular, the principles of urban planning, development, and peculiarities of church building. From the historical perspective a special reference is made to the churches and cathedrals that today the Azeries try to claim as Alban or Russian structures.

Lyuba Kirakosyan, Professor at the Chair of Theory of Architecture, Restoration and Reconstruction of Historical-Architectural Heritage, Fine Arts and History of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, has a significant contribution to the filmmaking process. University graduates Hayk Kharatyan and Tigran Khalatyan implemented 3D modeling of architectural structures, presented in the film.

Production of such films is a step towards defending our own values and achieving historical justice.
