NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The Jaga company in association with Termoros Armenia announces an open competition for the best design of climate equipment, in which organizations operating in the field of design and architecture, individual specialists and students can take part.

The competition is held in 3 nominations. The authors of the works recognized as the best in each nomination will receive a three-day trip to Belgium, which will include a flight, an overnight stay in a luxury hotel, a bicycle tour, sightseeing and many other activities.

In order to participate it is necessary to register on the www.jaga.am website, after which a personal identification code and a link to download the Participant’s Guide will be sent to the participant’s email address. During registration, participants can choose the nominations in which they would like to present their works. The deadline for applications is September 4, 2023.

The participants should send the electronic versions of the completed works to the contest@jaga.am email address in accordance with the format specified in the Participant’s Guide (if a model is available, please send the photos as well). Afterwards, the Jury conducts a pre-selection stage, as a result of which on September 8, 2023 the authors of the selected works will receive a notification on passing to the final stage.

Authors of the works that have passed to the final stage will prepare printed materials, models and other demonstration materials as needed. The solemn ceremony of selecting the best works of the final stage will be held on September 16, 2023 in Syunik Marz, in the area of the ropeway “Wings of Tatev”.

The jury of the competition also includes the Dean of the Faculty of Design Artashes Melikyan, the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Armen Shatvoryan, and the Head of the Chair of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation Anna Karamyan.

The nominations of the competition are:

RESPECT NATURE – Design multi-functional climate equipment for heating, cooling and fresh air supply that requires fewer materials in production and more technology to ensure energy efficiency. The materials used must be sustainable and environmentally friendly. Real models of “JAGA” equipment can serve as a basis for design (technical drawings are included in the Participant’s Guide).

DREAM A FUTURE – Imagine that there was no climate equipment before, and you are the first to create it. Just start with a blank paper. There are neither rules nor restrictions to express your vision and create the concept of future climate equipment.

AWAKE THE ARTIST – Create a new, fresh and attractive design for the “BRIZA 22”, one of the most popular models in the “JAGA” lineup. You are free to choose any form factor, materials and technological innovations that can be used as a cover for the existing functional inner part of the unit (technical drawings are included in the Participant’s Guide).
