NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia initiates a series of meetings with representatives of cultural, social and scientific spheres.

The first meeting will take place with singer, composer, freedom fighter, RA Honored Artist David Vardan Amalyan on 30 April, at 2:30 p.m., in the auditorium 2021 (architects’ studio). The entrance is free

Musical Activity

In 2004 he released his first album “Sound of the Soul” («Հոգու հնչյուն»). Since 2004 he has had many author’s solo concerts. He authored about 80 songs, most of which he wrote based on his poems. In 2002, his play “Eagle’s Nest” («Արծվաբույն») dedicated to the RA National Hero Vazgen Sargsyan was staged at the State Theater of Musical Comedy after Hakob Paronyan.

Participation in the Artsakh War

In 1990-1994 he took part in the Artsakh War in “National Legion” ( «Ազգային լեգեոն») detachment, the “Eagle 4th” («Արծիվ 4-րդ») battalion, and then the 5th Brigade military units. He is a member of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union. Since 1994, he has regularly organized concert-memorial evenings dedicated to the fallen freedom fighters entitled “Come out of the Flame” («Ելին ի բոցոյն»). Davit Amalyan’s eldest son Vardan Amalyan died in the 44-day war in the battles for the Homeland. David Amalyan named his son after his comrade-in-arms, Vardan (Dushman) Stepanyan, the hero of the First Artsakh War.
