NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

University with a 100-Year History

FRENCH-ARMENIAN FAMOUS PHOTOGRAPHER ANTOINE AGOUDJIAN’S MASTER CLASS AT THE UNIVERSITY

Within the framework of cooperation between National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and the Francophone University Agency (AUF), a master class will be held for the University students, conducted by the French-Armenian famous photographer Antoine Agoudjian, who is in Armenia for his solo exhibition, entitled “The Cry of Silence: Traces of an Armenian Memory”. The master class will be held at the Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art (ACCEA) on June 6 at 2.00 p.m. (address: 1/3 Buzand Street).

Antoine Agoudjian will share his thirty years of experience with NUACA students, revealing the secrets of photography to them. This exhibition, being presented to the Armenian audience for the first time, covers the 30-year exploration of the French-Armenian artist and traces the Armenian memory that Antoine Agoudjian inherited from his grandparents – survivors of the Armenian Genocide. Making a transition from black and white photographs to colour ones in 2015, Antoine created a new phase in his art – transferring from the memories in the past to documenting present moments.

Interested applicants can pre-register by June 3, or apply to the Department of International Relations (Room 2212).
