ANNOUNCEMENT

The National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia of RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports announces admission to full-time postgraduate program (on free and paid basis) for the 2021/2022 academic year.  

The allocation of full-time postgraduate program places on free basis according to specialties:

The competition is open to persons who have a graduate degree or a degree of a certified specialist, who have taken differentiated tests on the subjects “Foreign Language” and “Information and Communication Technologies” and have passed the following minimum thresholds:

  • English “TOEFL iBT” – 46 points or “IELTS” – 5.5 points,
  • French “TCF” – 200 points
  • German “onSET” – 60 points,
  • Information and Communication Technologies – 25 points

 

To participate in the specialty exam, the prospective postgraduate students submit a copy of at least one research article published in the peer-reviewed scientific journals of the chosen specialty or a scientific research paper within at least 20 printed pages with a positive written review issued by the chair in the given specialty.

            The prospective postgraduate students take an entrance specialty exam, which is assessed on a scale of 20 (twenty) points. The exam is considered passed if the prospective postgraduate students has received at least 13 (thirteen) points.

The competition is held according to the grade received from the specialty exam. In case of equal grades, the following indicators are taken into account in the order given below:

  • the GPA (grade point average) of the graduate or the certified specialist
  • the total GPA of undergraduate and graduate degrees
  • the number of published scientific works
  • diplomas received at international or republican student subject competitions or Olympiads, or participation in international conferences (reports).

The submission of the documents of prospective postgraduate students – from May 31 to June 28 of this year inclusive, the specialty exam– from July 2 to 7 of this year.

The prospective postgraduate students should submit the following documents to the Department of Third Level Education:

  • Application addressed to the Rector
  • The copies of undergraduate, graduate or certified specialist diplomas and their supplements (a document on education compliance for those who have obtained their higher education in universities abroad)
  • Attestation certificate or the corresponding reference of “Foreign Language” and “Information and Communication Technologies” subjects (defined by the internal threshold with a score assessment)
  • A copy of at least one research article published in the peer-reviewed scientific journals of the chosen specialty or a scientific research paper within at least 20 printed pages with a positive written review issued by the chair in the given specialty
  • Personal record sheet, autobiography and four photos (3×4 size)
  • Statement from the employment record book (if the prospective postgraduate student is working)
  • Diplomas received at international or republican student subject competitions or Olympiads, or participation in international conferences (reports), (if available)
  • The copy of military ID (if not available, copy of the conscription certificate at the recruiting station)

          The prospective postgraduate student should also present the passport and the original diploma of a graduate or a certified specialist.
