ADMISSION TO THE POSTGRADUATE PART-TIME STUDIES HAS COMMENCED

The National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia announces the admission to postgraduate part-time studies in the 2020-2021 academic year in the specialty of “Engineering Maintenance of Buildings and Structures (energy, hydraulic, etc.)”.

The competition announced for the third level of education is open to persons holding a master’s degree or a diploma of a specialist degree. Applicants take an entrance exam with examination cards in a subject related to their specialty that is graded on a 20-point scale. The exam is considered to be passed if the applicant has gained at least 13 points. In case of equal grades, the following are taken into account, by sequence:

  1. The Grade Point Average (GPA) of the Master or Certified specialist

  2. The sum of the total GPA of the Bachelor and Master

  3. Number of published scientific works

  4. Diplomas received at International or Republican student subject competitions or Olympiads, or participation in International conferences (reports).

To participate in the exam the applicants submit a copy of at least one scientific paper published in peer-reviewed scientific journals in the scope of the chosen specialty, or a research paper of no less than 20 printed pages with a written positive review from the corresponding Chair. The applicants must also submit the following documents to the Department of Postgraduate Studies:

  1. An application addressed to the Rector

  2. Passport and the original of Master’s degree Diploma or Diploma of a Certified specialist

  3. Copies of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree Diplomas or Diploma of a specialist and their supplements  (those who have received higher education abroad should also submit the corresponding certificate of compliance)

  4. Personal record sheet, autobiography and four photos (3×4 size)

  5. Statement from the employment record book (if the applicant is working)

  6. Diplomas received at International or Republican student subject competitions or Olympiads, or 

  7. Records from International conferences, they have taken part in (if applicable).

 

This year’s graduate-applicants may submit a relevant certificate about the compliance of higher professional education instead of a Master’s degree diploma. Postgraduate applicants can submit their documents by December 19, 2020 inclusive.
