Transport routes – automobile roads and railways are being considered the blood vessels of every country’s economy, which largely determine the level of effective cooperation among different sectors of the economy. The task of the transport sector specialist is to accommodate more efficient passenger and freight transportation within the frames of optimal investment volumes. The increasing numbers of vehicles each year around the world lead to problems related to traffic control, increasing work efficiency, as well as meeting the transportation needs of the population. Rational traffic control measures help with time management of passenger and freight transportation, improve traffic safety, and reduce the negative impact of the vehicles on the environment. Modern concepts, automated traffic control systems, etc., should be utilized to solve transport problems, due to which the capacity of a road network will maximize, traffic congestion and traffic accidents will decrease as well as traffic speed and convenience will increase. Our University has trained transport and communications engineers for over seven decades who design and build the most essential transport structures in our country to meet the requirements of any time period. The alumni can build their careers in the following areas: Department of Road Accidents Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Traffic Police, RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry, National Bureau of Expertise, CMTPL agencies, transport authority of Municipality, automobile roads and transportation management systems and various sectors of traffic management and control.
