The Faculty issued its first graduates in the field of Construction Economics back in 1937, and students in the specialty of “Economics and Enterprise Management” since 1972. In 1962, the specialty of “Construction Management and Economics” was opened. In 1988, the Chair of “Construction Automatic Management and Design Automation Systems” in the field of Informatics was formed within the Faculty of Architecture and Construction. In 1990, the Faculty of Construction Technology was formed. In 1990-1993, it was headed by PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Gagik Badeyan. Engineer-economists were trained in the specializations of “Economics and Enterprise Management” (in the field of Construction), “Economics and Enterprise Management” (in the fields of Urban Economy, Housing and Communal Services).
Since 1993, the Faculty of Construction Technology has been headed by PhD in Technical Sciences, Professor Albert Asiryan. Since 1992, the Chair of “Construction Economics and Management” has operated at the University, which was headed by PhD in Economic Sciences, Professor Sargis Stepanyan. Since 2008, the Chair of Informatics, Computing Technology and Management Systems has operated at the University, which trains specialists in the field of IT. In 2010, the Faculty of Management and Technology was formed, which included the Chairs of Economics, Law and Management, Informatics, Computing Techniques and Management Systems. In 2011, the Faculty was headed by Petros Hambardzumyan, since 2012 - by Tigran Martirosyan, and since 2019 - by Marine Grigoryan. Since 2020, the Chair of Languages has also been included in the Faculty. Currently, there are three Chairs operating at the Faculty of Management and Technology, two of which are issuing. They are:

- Chair of Informatics, Computing Technology and Management Systems
- Chair of Languages
The academic staff of the Faculty consists of 110 members, who are specialists with academic degrees and titles, heads of state administration, managers of large companies, top specialists of leading organizations in various fields of the Economy, heads of organizations, as well as leading specialists of private companies.
The Chair of Economics, Law and Management is one of the issuing Chairs of the Faculty. Today, the Chair is the only one in Armenia that trains specialists in Construction Pricing and Construction Project Management. As a result of the close cooperation of the Chair with state institutions and private organizations of the Republic of Armenia, students and graduates find their unique place in the professional field.
The Chair of Informatics, Computing Technology and Management Systems is the other issuing Chair of the Faculty. The Chair trains specialists in the fields of Computer Network Design and Operation, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Processing and Automated Management. The Chair cooperates with Armenian organizations, uses their production and research base, which provides students with the opportunity to secure professional work.

Within the framework of the trilateral agreement signed at the Faculty, the graduate programme “Project Management (in the field of Tourism, Management of Cultural Heritage and Geoinformation Systems)” provides students with the opportunity to study for a year at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, gain experience at the Rimini branch of the University of Bologna, Italy, and for a year the courses are jointly organized at NUACA and Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE). Upon successful completion of the Program, students are awarded with two qualifications and two diplomas, one of which is by UPV, and the other is jointly by NUACA and ASUE.
Undergraduate and graduate studies of the Faculty are also carried out part-time.
The Faculty cooperates with a number of universities and organizations in the Republic of Armenia and abroad, and students of the Faculty actively participate in international scholarship mobility programmes offered by the University, as well as summer schools organized at universities abroad.
Taking into account the pace of development of specialties of the Faculty and the ever-increasing demands, curricula and disciplinary programmes are reviewed annually, seminars are organized with the participation of leading specialists in the field, and students participate in various programs, as well as local and international competitions.
Today, more than 750 students study at the Faculty. Over the past five years, annually about 170 graduates have graduated from the Faculty. Currently, the graduates of the Faculty hold positions in state and community structures, are heads of organizations, as well as are leading specialists in the field.
