Dear University staff and students,
National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia will host an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the renowned architect Jim Torosian on April 20.
The aim of the event is to appreciate and publicize the rich creative heritage of the great architect, stimulate young people’s interest in architecture, as well as emphasize the importance of education and professional continuity in the field.
During the event, certificates will be awarded to those students of l NUACA High School who participated in the four-day working seminar organized within the framework of the architectural professional orientation program. In addition, Jim Torosian medals will be awarded to a number of university lecturers for their significant contribution to the field.
A visit to the exhibitions of models and architect’s sketches prepared by first-year students within the scope of the “Volumetric Spatial Composition” subject is envisaged within the framework of the Event.
The event will launch on April 20, at 2:00 p.m. in the Rectorate hall, where the official opening, speeches, as well as the ceremony of awarding certificates and medals will take place.
A tour of the exhibitions will be organized from 3:00 p.m. (second floor corridor, Room 2205).
