Chair of Construction Machinery and Organization of Traffic
The Chair was established in 1989 since the very beginning headed by PhD, professor Slavik Burnusuzyan. There are 40 courses taught to both Bachelor and Master degree students in the spheres of construction machinery, automobiles, workflow engines, transportation, economics of traffic and traffic rules, unified transport system, methodological basics for driver trainings, urban transportation information technology, management of technical systems, traffic police service, road accidents forensics, certification and licensing for road transport, transport flow modeling, commercial work organization in transport, passenger motor transport technology, organization and management, environmental protection, urban transport system and a number of other areas.
The Chair supervises research activities of graduate students. Research is carried out in its 3 labs as well as student internships based on bilateral agreements are organized in several institutions such as
- Traffic Police,
- “David” taxi service,
- “Yerevanshin” organization.
The Chair is responsible to prepare specialists with higher education in the specialty of Organization and Administration of Transportation and Traffic. Three lecturers of the Chair are involved in supervising activities of 12 projects.
