Our beloved University is 95 years old. Wise, with bold experience and sculpturing our city’s body educational institution is celebrating its 95th anniversary.

Today was the start of solemn events. The exhibition of NUACA faculty and students is opened at the Yerevan Municipality and the 8th international conference on « Architecture and Construction – Modern Problems » was launched.

Welcoming the guests, the Mayor of Yerevan city Taron Margaryan congratulated all University personnel highlighting the unique role of NUACA for our country. « This is the University that prepares our nation’s pride architects and engineers, » said the Mayor, considering the fact that the start of jubilee events is given right at the Municipality. « This speaks about the active cooperation between the Municipality and the University, which will remain uninterrupted. » The mayor also extended his greetings to the overseas guests and participants of the conference wishing them successful and fruitful work.

NUACA Rector Gagik Galstyan defined the day as a significant and historical day, a double holiday that is a reality due to loyalty to the University mission for already 95 years and its many supporters and partners.

« Dear Mr. Mayor,

As you are the Chairman of our University Board of Trustees, I would like to express a special gratitude for being loyal and supportive for all our initiatives and reforms. I should also thank our country’s leadership for their support and caring attitude towards the University- the school, which has been almost a century, that creates the  architectural facial features of our homeland, holds firm our roots and historical heritage of the world and represents Armenia in all its abundance ». Gagik Galstyan especially warmly welcomed the guests and participants of the conference, emphasizing the importance of the sustainable cooperation with them.

After getting acquainted with the works presented at the exhibition the conference participants began their work. Rector Galstyan presented the delegations arrived from the University of Częstochowa, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, Moscow and Novosibirsk, German, Georgian, Chinese State Universities of Construction, Udine University of Italy, the United States Rutgers University.

The international conference is organized by NUACA, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Częstochowa Technological University, St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Construction, Ostrava Technical University, University of Czech Republic and the University of Florence. Previous conferences were held in Jermuk, Beijing, St. Petersburg and Ostrava.
