The laboratory of geodesy equipped with renovated and the latest technology is already open to students and for design works. The laboratory is equipped with mapping and geodesic drone which is still unique in Armenia and with 3D laser scanner.
Through the drone it is possible to create digital terrain models, three-dimensional images and ortho photos. The device has a high productivity and implements terrain surveying with high quality and perfect precision. The device, as an education tool, will be applied both in the university and in all design works where the university will have its participation.
Geodesic 3D laser scanner enables to create three-dimensional models of objects. The scanner allows to measure up to 1 million points in 1 second with high accuracy with a radius of 320 meters. The device is widely applied in architectural works for restoration of monuments and creation of three-dimensional models of essential objects.
Both devices are produced by American world-famous company and ensure quality meeting the current measurement and mapping requirements.
