National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia will host a seminar entitled “Reduction of Carbon Dioxide Emissions from Concrete Using Chemical Additives and Production of Efficient, Durable Concrete Structures.” The seminar will be conducted by Ara Tshgnavorian, expert-consultant on concrete materials at Tshgnavorian Consulting Services in Chelmsford, the USA. During his speech, Mr. Tshgnavorian will present a number of examples of how some chemical additive technologies such as polycarboxylate-based superplasticizers combined with calcium-based accelerators, nano-particles (i.e. C-S-H and SiO2) and bio-additives produce micro-compacted calcite precipitates (MICP) that can both reduce carbon dioxide emissions (CO2 reduction) and extend the durability of concrete structures.
The seminar will take place on October 2, at 2:30 p.m., in NUACA Conference Hall (Auditorium 2023).
