Dear University staff and students,
We would like to inform you that on September 22-26, 2025, NUACA is organizing an international workshop. Professors Maria Cristina Giambruno, Annunziata Maria Otero, Sonia Pistidda and Oana Cristina Tiganea from Polytechnic University of Milan, who are coming to Yerevan within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, will participate in the Workshop. On September 22, they will deliver lectures on the issues of historical environment preservation at the University, and on September 22-25, practical work is envisaged on the topic of the appreciation and preservation of the historical and architectural heritage of the city of Gavar. The topic of the Workshop is relevant, as it focuses on the sustainable development of the historical residential environment. The initiative is aimed at the preservation and revitalization of heritage, private houses and public buildings built in a historical urban context. The aim of the Project is also to develop a model for community engagement that integrates heritage conservation and sustainable housing strategies, in line with the Geneva UN Charter on Sustainable Housing. The approach will be holistic, incorporating social, legal, cultural and economic considerations.
