ADMISSION TO FULL-TIME GRADUATE STUDY PROGRAM

National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA) in accordance with the Order 1193-N of the RA Minister of Education and Science dated December 6, 2007 “Procedure for Admission and Education of Graduate Studies in the Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Armenia” announces admission for the full-time graduate studies of 2025-2026 academic year>

Graduate studies is an educational degree of the system of higher professional education and a form of training of highly qualified personnel.

Citizens of the Republic of Armenia holding an undergraduate degree, a degree of a certified specialist or a graduate degree can be admitted to the graduate program on a competitive basis.

Citizens with a graduate degree can receive a 2nd graduate education only on a not state-funded basis.

Admission to the graduate studies is conducted in two stages:

  • The first stage: applicants’ documents for places receiving full reimbursement of tuition fees in the form of an allowance (state-funded) provided by the state and approved by the RA Government for the given academic year are accepted from June 5 to 20, while the competition will be summarized by June 30, in which graduates holding an undergraduate or certified specialist degree are eligible to participate.
  • The second stage of the admission to the graduate studies: applicants’ documents are accepted from June 5 to 20 and from July 15 to August 25, and the competition will be summarized by September 1, according to the not state-funded study places of the given academic year approved by the Ministry.

Applicants who meet the additional mandatory requirements for admission to the given academic programme are eligible to apply for admission to certain graduate academic programmes.

  • Copies of passport and social security card or identity card;
  • Application addressed to the Rector of the University, indicating the chosen specialty and academic programme;
  • Copies of undergraduate, graduate and certified specialist diplomas and their supplements (inserts), (for those who have received higher education in universities abroad, a document on the compliance of their education);
  • Autobiography and 3 photos (size 3×4);
  • List of scientific works published or accepted for publication (if available).

Please submit the required documents in case of having the status in accordance with the procedure on “Reimbursement of Tuition Fees in the Form of an Allowance in Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Armenia (full or partial (discount)) and Awarding a State Scholarship” approved by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia № 1183-N dated July 27, 2006.

Applicants pay 7000 (seven thousand) AMD for admission services of graduate study program, which must be transferred to the account number of the “NUACA Foundation”: 15100-01964940200, indicating the name, surname, patronymic and the chosen academic programme in the purpose field.

The competition for admission to the graduate studies is held according to the following criteria and in order of priority of points 15 and 16 of the Procedure for the Admission to the Graduate Study Program of the University.

  • The summative grade of the overall academic performance or Grade Point Average (GPA) of the previous study program;
  • The summative average grade of the academic performance of the professional subjects or GPA;
  • Research papers, theses and reports published or accepted for publication;
  • The summative average grade of the academic performance of the non-professional subjects or GPA.

At the expense of the state budget of the Republic of Armenia, the following shall be accepted beyond competition:

  • Children left without parental care stipulated in the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Social Protection of Children Left without Parental Care”, as well as persons under the age of 23 belonging to the number of children left without parental care,
  • Persons with disabilities of the 1st and 2nd groups and persons recognized as disabled children, persons with severe and profound functional limitations, and in the case of children, also with moderate limitations, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”,
  • Ex-servicemen who have the right to a military pension of the 1st or 2nd group of disability while performing official duties during the period of compulsory military service, according to the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Military Service and the Status of Servicemen”,
  • The parents, husband (wife), children under 27 years of age of killed (deceased) servicemen, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Military Service and the Status of Servicemen”.

According to the Decision N 1035-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia dated June 18, 2020, the income tax calculated in the manner prescribed by the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia for the salary of a learner (student) studying in any of the specialties (Design, Informatics (Computer Science), Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geomatics) of the graduate studies of the accredited higher education institutions of the Republic of Armenia is refunded for the purpose of the tuition fee reimbursement.

Dear applicant,

  • The subject exam dates for the first stage of admission to the full-time graduate program for the 2025-2026 academic year are June 27 and 30.
  • We would like to inform you that in the case that a suitable group is not formed in accordance with the procedure established by the University for the two graduate programs specified in the admission application or if the applicant is excluded from the competitions, the admitted applicant will be offered the opportunity to participate in the admission competition for another academic programme, if possible.
