“100 IDEAS FOR ARMENIA” PAN-ARMENIAN YOUTH CONTEST

The RA Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs announces a Pan-Armenian Youth Contest “100 Ideas for Armenia” (hereinafter the Competition).

Young people aged between 16 and 35 in Armenia and the Diaspora can participate in the contest. The goal of the contest is to develop the creative thinking of young people, to involve them in the process of solving the tasks of the socio-economic development of Armenia, to encourage citizens’ initiatives in the implementation of scientific and technical developments and creative projects.

The main objectives of the competition are:

  • encouragement and development of youth invention and innovation;
  • discovery and possible investment of innovative projects and scientific and technical developments that are of practical importance for the socio-economic development of the country
  • improvement of cooperation at all levels between public associations, business entities and government agencies in the process of solving social and public issues
  • practical implementation of the youth social partnership and mutual responsibility principles,

The expert commission of the competition (hereinafter the Commission), established to evaluate the competitive bids accepted by the organizing committee of the competitive bidding (hereinafter the Organizing Committee), will carry out an expert evaluation of the competitive bids. The 20 best applications selected on the basis of the preliminary expert assessment will pass to the final stage of the competition.

From November 25 to December 6, 2019, an exhibition of the 20 best creative projects and scientific and technical developments that reached the final of the competition will be organized in Yerevan, then a meeting of the Commission will be held, at which the projects will be defended (in presentation form) by the authors (author groups) and final evaluation of projects will take place. Authors (groups of authors) of the Armenian Diaspora can present their projects with the use of information technologies.

At the end of the committee session, the Commission will publish final rating of the approved categories and submit them to the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee will sum up the Commission’s assessments, as a result of which five winning projects will be determined.

The winning projects will receive encouraging awards and certificates. In 2019 the contest is held in the following categories:

  • Chemical Sciences,
  • Information Technology,
  • Pedagogical sciences,
  • Architecture,
  • Sociological sciences,

Projects need to be submitted in Armenian on paper and electronic media (Word Document (up to 10 pages) and Power Point Presentation (up to 25 slides). Other electronic presentation is not excluded: video-audio materials, graphic schemes, computer programs, etc.

The following criteria for project evaluation will be applied:

  • the relevance of the presented topic and the practical significance of the project,
  • realistic implementation of competitive innovation project,
  • the novelty of the idea or the creativity of solving the presented problem;
  • clarity, logical soundness of the goals and objectives of a creative project (research) and clarity of ways to achieve them,
  • originality of the author’s concepts and practical tasks on the topic,

The work presented with the demonstration material (video clips, samples, samples, etc.) will get an additional advantage. Applications are accepted from May 15 to October 1, 2019.

Applications (sample attached) must be submitted to the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs (address: room 227, Abovyan 9. Yervan, RA), or sent to the email erit.msy@gmail.com , indicating the nomination to the “Subject” section.
