HIGH SCHOOL OF NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION ARMENIA
The School was built in 1933 and is named after the famous Armenologist, public figure literary critic, folklore collector, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR Manuk Abeghyan.
On March 1, 2011, at the suggestion of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, an agreement was signed between NUACA and High School № 3 named after Manuk Abeghyan, aiming at raising awareness about the architectural and construction specialties at the school and expanding the knowledge of the graduates through the implementation of additional programmes.
In 2013, the School with an 84-year-old history and tradition, was passed to NUACA as a basic school.
Throughout its history, the School has produced graduates who later shaped the future of Armenia in the scientific, cultural and political fields. Among them are the RA Prime Minister in 2000-2007 Andranik Margaryan, the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan, and many others.
In May 2011, the renovation and reconstruction of the School building began. During the reconstruction works, the foundations of the building were strengthened, a new boiler house was built, the water system was reconstructed, the classrooms were technically equipped and furnished.
In 2012, NUACA Basic College was joined to the High School after M. Abeghyan. Student of 11 PH2 grade of High School after Manuk Abeghyan of “National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia” (“NUACA”) Foundation, Davit Eduard Kavkasyan, took the first place within the framework of the competition for the students of 5-12 grades announced by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia as well as within the framework of the competition entitled “Resisting the Media Virus”, held during the media literacy week.
HOW TO APPLY
Students who have completed 9th and 10th grades can apply for admission to the High School. The admission is conducted based on an interview, on a 20-point scale in Mathematics and Physics.
The direction of the High School is natural-scientific (Physical-Mathematical). High school graduates are awarded with a graduation certificate upon completion.
