In order to participate in the first stage of the unified and intra-university entrance examinations of the 2023-2024 academic year, the applicants should submit the admission application form online at dimord.am website of the Assessment and Testing Center.
The knowledge assessment process is carried out with a unified approach: regardless of the status of the university, all applicants of state and non-state institutions, graduating from the RA general, primary or secondary vocational education institutions in the given academic year or graduates of previous years, foreigners, the RA citizens, who graduated from the educational institutions of foreign countries in the given academic year, shall take a maximum of 2 unified state examinations.
There are specialties for which elective examinations have been set, giving applicants the opportunity to choose the examination subject upon their wish.
Unified admission criteria and entry requirements are defined for the same specialty (academic programme) in the RA universities, according to the relevant qualification awarded to the graduate for the given specialty by the decree of the RA Government. Accordingly, applicants for the same specialty must take the same entrance exams, regardless of the chosen university.
According to the Decree N 597-Ն of the Government of the Republic of Armenia dated 26.04.2012, the applicants of the 2023/2024 academic year can apply for and take the unified examinations twice:
1) Graduates of general, primary or secondary vocational education institutions of the Republic of Armenia of the given or previous academic years can take unified state examinations in January and June of the given year,
2) Applicants who will be demobilized by July 31 of the given year, foreigners, citizens of the Republic of Armenia who graduated from educational institutions of foreign countries in the given academic year can take the unified state examinations in January and July of the given year,
3) Graduates of educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia of the given academic year and previous years, foreigners, citizens of the Republic of Armenia, who graduated from the educational institutions of foreign countries in the given academic year, whose school diploma or relevant graduation document does not have the subject “The Armenian Language” certified, and who wish to take the unified examinations with tests translated into Russian (with the exception of “Armenian History” and foreign languages), can take the unified state examinations in January and July of the given year.
An applicant, who has taken two unified state examinations in the same subject, participates in the competition of the relevant specialty in state-funded or not state-funded education system with the highest score obtained from the examination of the given subject.
The intra-University examinations are organized in one stage, from June 26 to July 8 of the given year.
In the first stage, from December 15 to December 25, 2022, the application for unified state examinations will be carried out by applicants who graduated from the general, primary or secondary vocational education institutions of the Republic of Armenia in the given academic year, as well as graduates of previous years, foreigners, RA citizens who graduated from the educational institutions of foreign countries in the given academic year.
The unified state examinations will be held from January 15 to February 15, 2023.
In the second stage, from April 15 to May 10, 2023 the application for unified state examinations, as well as the application for the first stage of the specialty, will be carried out by applicants graduating from general, primary or secondary vocational education institutions of the Republic of Armenia in the given academic year and by graduates of previous years.
Applications for admission from foreigners, citizens of the Republic of Armenia who graduated from educational institutions of foreign countries in the given academic year, applicants who were demobilized from the summer conscription of the given year or will be demobilized by July 31 are accepted in the second stage, from June 26 to July 1, until 5:00 p.m.
The unified state examinations will be held from June 1 to July 10.
In the first stage (to be held in January-February), before filling in the application form, the applicants transfer 4500 AMD for each unified examination to the relevant account of the ATC, and after filling in the application form, provide to the ATC the electronic version of the 4,500 AMD payment receipt transferred to the relevant account of the ATC for participating in each examination.
In the next stage (to be held in June-July), before filling in the application form, the applicants transfer 1500 AMD for each examination to the ATC account, and after filling in the application form, provide to the ATC the electronic version of the 1500 AMD payment receipt transferred to the relevant account of the ATC for participating in each examination.
The admission application and documents are not subject to change after the deadline, and additional documents are not accepted. The applicant is not allowed to submit more than one admission application form.
The competition for admission to University is held in two stages: the main and the additional.
The main stage competition is held with an application for one specialty (state-funded and not state-funded).
In order to participate in the main stage competition, the applicant fills in the name of one university and one specialty (academic programme) in the admission application form provided by the list of specialties and entrance examinations prescribed for studying in the given specialty (academic programme). If the subjects of the unified state examinations are separated by the word “or” in the “Entrance Exams” section of the list, the applicant is allowed to choose one of the mentioned entrance examinations.
The applicant participates in the competition of the relevant specialty defined for state-funded and not state-funded education with the sum of the positive scores received from the competitive examinations, keeping the hundredth part. The list of applicants admitted to the university is formed in descending order of the sum of the scores obtained from the entrance exam subjects defined for the given specialty (academic programme). For those specialties, which are recorded as non-competitive in the list of entrance exams, the applicant participates in the competition if he or she receives a positive score in those subjects.
The Republican Admissions Committee approves the results of the main competition by July 18 of the given year.
After the approval of the results of the main stage of the entrance exams, if there are vacancies in the universities, the applicants who received a positive score(s) in the entrance examinations, but were left out from the competition, can participate in the competition for additional vacancies by filling out an application form online from July 19 to 26 until 6:00 p.m..
The additional stage competition is held by submitting an application in one or more universities with up to six specialties, if the applicant has a positive score(s) in the subject(s) of the given specialty(s), and there are vacancies in those specialties(state-funded and not state-funded).
The applicant who is admitted in any specialty (according to the order of application) registered in the vacancy application form does not participate in the competition of the next registered specialties, and the applicant who is not admitted participates in the competition of the next specialties in order.
During the main and additional stage competition, preference is given to the applicant with the highest score(s) in the examinations of the given specialty.
The Republican Admissions Committee approves the results of the competition for additional vacancies in universities on July 30.
