Education and trainings

• 1972- 1977 Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Architectural Design, qualification of an architect.
• 1980-1984 Post graduate student and researcher at the Institute of educational buildings in Moscow.

Work experience

• 1977-1980 architect, later senior architect of the « Yerevan Project » Institute.
• 1986-1988 chief architect of the project at the « Yerevan Project » Institute.
• 1988-2003 combined work as a senior lecturer in the chair of architectural design and environmental design, YSUAC, as an associate professor in 2002, as a professor since 2009.
• 1993 deputy head of the department of Architecture and Town Planning of Yerevan.
• 1993-1995 deputy head of the department of Architecture in  the Ministry of Town Planning of Republic Armenia.
• 1995-2003  head of the department of architecture in  the Ministry of Town Planning of Republic Armenia.
• 2003-2009 dean of the Faculty of Architecture, YSUAC.
• 2009-2013  head-dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, YSUAC.
• From 2013 chief architect of Yerevan.

• Architecture, town planning, formation and development of public centers for small and medium-sized cities.
