Workshop on the theme “Attempt of Organizing Education in the Sphere of Tourism on the example of the University of Bologna” was held on May 5 in NUACA auditorium 2112 with the aim of representing results of the next stage of the HERITAG project being implemented within the frameworks of the Erasmus+ programme. The goal of the workshop was exchange of experience with lecturers, students and specialists of the sphere of tourism gained while the visit to the Rimini Campus of the University of Bologna. The speakers were NUACA and ASUE representatives.
The workshop was opened by HERITAG project coordinator Varazdat Hovhannisyan (NUACA). He presented the aim of the project, implemented activity as well as touched upon the achievements which resulted the opportunity of increasing compatibility of tourism and geo-information with the help of education integration of both systems.
The structure and main peculiarities of activity of the University of Bologna were presented by Tatevik Yedoyan (NUACA). The pivotal topics of the speech were separation and campus distribution of schools, departments, and specializations of the University of Bologna, educational systems of the University and distribution of students according to those systems as well as employees’ classifications and scientific activity.
The content of the visit to the Rimini Campus of the University of Bologna was presented by Mkhitar Balayan (NUACA). The speech involved the main concepts of tourism, the role and significance of tourism in the economic system, impact of tourism on social-economic, cultural and environmental spheres, necessity of sustainable development of tourism and the need of education and cooperation of the education sphere in that direction.
The content and peculiarities of the educational programs for the specialty of tourism of the University of Bologna were presented by Hasmik Hambardzumyan (ASUE). She pointed out peculiarities of bachelor’s and master programs, components of their attractiveness as well as final results and entrance preconditions.
Tigran Mnatsakanyan (ASUE) referred to the methodology of teaching and education. He pointed out problematic, research and game components, their fundamentals, advantages and disadvantages of each. Situations on implementation of methods and possible results were mentioned during the speech.
The workshop was organized in frank atmosphere where the participants were freely expressing their opinions, asking questions, discussing possibilities for implementation of the experience of the University of Bologna.
