Today, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Armenia Petr MIKYSKA was welcomed at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. The first visit of the Ambassador to our University was significant and aimful. The Ambassador’s desire was to be an ambassador not only between the two countries, but also between the universities, especially in the field of design.
The NUACA Rector Gagik GALSTYAN, Vice-rectors Marine GHAZARYAN and Vardges YEDOYAN and the Dean of the NUACA Design Department Armen BUBUSHYAN welcomed the Ambassador MIKYSKA at our University.
Rector GALSTYAN greeted the Ambassador, noting that the offer of cooperation with the Czech universities in the field of design is a great honor, and our University is open for the fervent and far-going discussions.
Ambassador MIKYSKA also underlined the importance of the meeting and presented the activities of the two main design universities of the Czech Republic, with which he was ready to negotiate and establish cooperation ties.
Dean BUBUSHYAN presented the directions and the package of the Department’s proposals to the Ambassador including students and lecturers’ exchange programmes, master classes and joint fellowships and internships.
The bilateral discussions were summarized with an expectation for signing a cooperation agreement in late spring. After the meeting, the Ambassador was toured at our University and admired the exhibition of the NUACA lecturers from the Chair of Drawing and Sculpture inaugurated on the 27th of February.
